I found this quote the other day that I liked very much:

The NY Times recently did an article on plants. It said that they are the only living things that grow bilaterally for their entire lives -i.e. roots underground and stems and leaves above ground.
ReplyDeleteand the roots that spread underground help the plant above ground grow taller and taller.
ReplyDeletethere is something to that I think. The growth you don't see helps the growth you do see.
